MADL Scalby NSPCC

The Proudfoot Group donated £250 to the Scalby division of NSPCC to assist with its fundraising efforts to continue the excellent service it provides. This donation will add to the money raised at coffee mornings held throughout the year by the charity.

The NSPCC is inspired by a belief that it can make a difference for all children and its aim is to end cruelty to children in the UK.

Valerie Aston, of The Proudfoot Group, said: "NSPCC is a nationally recognised charity that makes a huge difference to children's lives across the UK and undertakes large amounts of fundraising to enable this to take place. This local branch of NSPCC supports children in the local area and The Proudfoot Group is delighted to be able to make this donation to the branch to assist with its fundraising activities."

Judith Stevens, co-chairman of the Scalby branch of the NSPCC, has said how delighted the committee is that the Proudfoot Group has added £250 to the amount that is raised at its coffee morning. She said, "We have enormous support locally which makes our coffee mornings very worthwhile and it is so good to see local business supporting us in this way. This money will go towards helping vulnerable young people and families in the area though Childline, the 24 hours free and confidential service for children and young people, and a helpline for adults who need advice about a child. Projects and services are run throughout the UK including a service centre in York which is aimed at babies under one, children suffering domestic abuse and a therapeutic programme for children and young people that have suffered sexual abuse."
