Barton Ropewalk

Barton On Humber

Proudfoot's Barton store was one of the company's larger flagship supermarkets.

The store was built by the late Roger Steel and was opened in 1996.

The Proudfoot Group also helped fund and sponsor the Barton Ropewalk, which sat adjacent to the Barton supermarket.

The building which was purchased along with the site for our Barton store, was a circa 1,200 ft. long Grade II Listed Ropewalk which has now been reinvented from a unemployed, disused, dilapidated factory building into the stunning center it is today.

Proudfoot's Barton store was closed and sold to Tesco in 2008.
